Lot Description

A Dutch silver miniature longcase clock. Having a 1.5" white Roman dial with recessed subsidiary seconds dial, the fusee movement numbered 1586, with foliage-engraved balance cock beneath a dust cover, the case with ogee-arched hood and raised foliate scrollwork, the conforming trunk with removable long door decorated with figures surrounding a pierced 'lenticle', on a matching bombe base and paw feet to the front, several pseudo hallmarks (probably Hanau) to rear and base, 9.5", (24cm) high.
