Lot Description

An Edwardian 18ct gold garnet topped doublet and diamond five-stone ring. The graduated circular-shape garnet topped doublets alternating with old-cut diamonds, to the scrolling gallery and shoulders. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1907. Weight 3.4gms.

The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The band has possibly been repaired/resized with minor pitting. There is a jewellers stock type number scratched into the band. The diamonds appear moderately bright and well matched, estimated total diamond weight 0.20ct, I-J colour, SI2-P1 with small scattered inclusions and a surface reaching fracture. The garnet topped doublets are a well matched, deep slightly purplish red hue and have gas bubble inclusions and noticeable abrasion near the girdle. Ring size N.
