Lot Description

Late Victorian silver pair of salt and pepper pots, each of urn shape with a detachable dome top pierced cover and raised above a circular footed base, hallmarked London 1899 with maker's mark WS;  together with a slightly later pair of salt and pepper pots of bulbous form and standing on three stepped hoof feet, hallmarked Birmingham 1919, a silver mustard pot with blue glass liner, hallmarked Birmingham 1921 and a continental pepper pot.  Gross combined weight 7.58 ozt (236 grams) (6).

All pieces display general general wear and some tarnishing, also various surface marks and scratches in keeping with age and  usage.  Some minor nicks and dints in places and some contact marks from the removal and replacing of lids, etc.  Hinged cover to mustard pot in working order.  Hallmarks are mainly legible, some distortion to maker's marks, especially on the pair of bulbous shape salt and pepper pots and mustard pot.  The continental pot is very tarnished all over.  There are some struck marks, it is possibly Austro-Hungarian.
