Lot Description

Modern silver bonbon dish of shaped oval form, the sides embossed with floral, foliate and scroll motifs against a diaper pattern, hallmarked Hampton Utilities, Birmingham 1957, maximum length measuring 6 inches (15.2 cm);  together with a similar oval example on four ball feet, hallmarked John Rose, Birmingham 1972, and a pair of small circular dishes with a shaped shell and scroll rim, hallmarked Lanson Ltd., Birmingham, probably 1945.  Combined weight 8.64 ozt (268.8 grams). All four dishes display general wear, some tarnishing and surface marks and scratches. Some deeper scratches in places, especially to the centre of dishes, and various minor nicks/dints.  Some slight loss of detail to decoration in places.  Hallmarks are mainly legible, although they are very rubbed and distorted on one of the small circular dishes.
