Lot Description
A modern silver mounted table cigarette lighter, the rectangular base having canted sides to the top engraved with a continuous border of scrolling foliate motifs. Silver hallmarked J B Chatterley & Sons Ltd., Birmingham 1970. Length of base measures 3 1/2 inches (9cm), maximum height including lighter measures 2 3/8 inches (6cm).

Condition Report
The item displays general wear and surface marks and scratches and also some tarnishing. Some of the scratches are deeper and more visible, especially to some areas of the rectangular base and there is also more wear to the corners. There are numerous minor nicks in the metal, especially to the edges and corners. The lighter mechanism appears to be in working order. Hallmarks to the base are clear and legible.
