Lot Description
A silver plated swing handled footed dish, of circular form with floral and foliate decoration to the rim and fluted moulding to the interior, the handle with similar decorative motifs, overall diameter measuring 12 inches (30.5 cm); together with a further silver plated footed dish with shell, scroll and foliate shaped rim and conforming twin handles, the interior with engraved floral patterns, maximum diameter measures 13 inches (33 cm). Condition Report
Both dishes display general wear and surface marks and scratches in keeping with the usage. Also areas and spots of tarnishing and some deeper scratches in places. In some areas, the plating is worn and the copper is showing through. There is more wear to the plating on the swing handled dish as the copper is showing through in quite a few areas. It also appears as though the handle has been repaired as solder is visible around the base of each on both sides.
