Lot Description

A selection of silver and mother-of-pearl cutlery, to include a set of six 1930's silver pastry forks, a George III silver spoon and a set of twelve mother-of-pearl caviar spoons. Hallmarked Robert Pringle & Sons, Sheffield 1936 and possibly George Smith III, London 1785. Length of silver spoon 6 7/16 inches (16.4cm). Total silver weight 2.92 ozt (90.7 grams).

The lot is in fair overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The forks are engraved with a C monogram. The spoon has small splits to the bowl and the bowl has been cut down. There are the faint remains of a crest to the terminal. Some of the mother-of-pearl caviar spoons are slightly discoloured with natural yellow discolouration.
