Lot Description
Late Victorian silver dish of oval form with scrolled everted rim, the sides heavily embossed with floral, foliate and scroll motifs interspersed with a diaper pattern. Hallmarked L.B, Birmingham 1897. Maximum length measures 10 3/8 inches (26.5 cm), weight 8.54 ozt (265.5 grams).

Condition Report
Dish is very tarnished all over and displays general wear and surface marks and scratches in keeping with the age and use. Some small surface dints, one visible to the plain centre of the dish. Some slight loss of detail to decoration in places and some tiny holes visible in the embossed decoration. Hallmarks are a little distorted but still legible.
