Lot Description

Two gem-set rings. To include an old-cut diamond cluster ring and a cushion-cut garnet five-stone ring, each with an early 20th century replacement band. Estimated diamond weight 0.50ct. One with hallmarks for Birmingham, 1914. Weight 5.6gms.

Overall condition fair with light scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The diamonds are well matched, in fairly good condition, all showing some surface abrasion to crown facets and nibbles to girdle. Individual size and setting prevents accurate colour/clarity grade assessment, to outer diamonds,  estimated H-I colour, SI clarity, to centre diamond. Markings to band indicate replacement band, stamped 18ct. The garnets pink to purple hue, all showing surface abrasion, with outer stone showing chip to pavilion. Markings to band indicate replacement to original ring head.
