Lot Description

A George III 18ct gold key wind pair case pocket watch by John Deacon, Leicester, the white enamel dial with black Arabic numeral hour markers surrounded by an outer minute track, the plain cases, London hallmarked 1796, fitted with a signed gilt full plate fusee and chain movement with verge escapement, pierced balance cock and diamond end stone. Outer case diameter 51mm. Total weight 95gms.

18ct gold key wind pair case pocket watch, movement is functioning intermittently, dial shows scratches, chips and cracks, there is general dirt and wear to the dial, hands show discolouration and scratches, glass is scratched from use, case has emdium scratches from use, case back is uneven through small dents, there is rubbing and wear to the edge of the inner case, outer case shows scratches and dents, the back of the outer case shows dents and splits to the metal, button to outer case is discoloured.
