Lot Description

A Victorian silver key wind open face pocket watch, the white enamel dial with bold black Roman numeral hour markers, subsidiary seconds dial to six o'clock, all surrounded by an outer minute track, the rubbed case, Birmingham hallmarked 1897, with milled middle, engine turned design and vacant cartouche to rear, fitted with an unsigned gilt full plate fusee and chain movement with ratchet tooth lever escapement. Case diameter 55mm.

Key wind pocket watch, movement does not appear to function, dial show scratches, cracks and marks, there is dirt visible to the edge of the subsidiary dial, hands appear to show scratches and slight discolouration, glass is scratched from use, case has medium scratches and shallow dents from use, there is noticeable rubbing to the engine turned design, bow and pendant are scratched, bow is loose.
