Lot Description

A Victorian silver key wind open face pocket watch, the white enamel dial with black Roman numeral hour markers, subsidiary seconds dial to six o'clock, all surrounded by an outer minute track, the rubbed case, Birmingham hallmarked 1883, with milled middle, engine turned design and vacant cartouche to rear, fitted with an unsigned gilt full plate fusee and chain movement with ratchet tooth lever escapement. Case diameter 52mm.

Silver pocket watch, movement is not functioning, dial has scratches and marks visible, hands show discolouration and scratches from use, glass is lightly scratched from use, case has medium scratches from use, there is wear to the engine turned design, there is a noticeable dent to the case back, hinges appear to function as they should, bow and pendant are scratched, bow is loose, pin that holds bow is larger than bow leaving sharp edges.
