Lot Description

A Victorian silver key wind open face pocket watch, the silvered dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds counter positioned to six o'clock, bordered by a minute track, floral and foliate decoration to centre, round case with milled band, engine turned decoration and a vacant cartouche to rear hallmarked Chester 1891, fitted with an unsigned full plate fusee and chain movement with ratchet tooth lever escapement. Case diameter 57mm.

A pocket watch, movement is not functioning, dial has areas of discolouration, particularly around the numerals, and tiny marks, light scratches and discolouration to the numerals, hands are marked and discoloured, glass is scratched, a few chips to edge of the glass, some may polish out with difficulty, deeper marks may remain, case is noticeably discoloured and has medium scratches, showing signs of rubbing, tiny dints, small dent to the case back, crown is lightly scratched from use.
