Lot Description

A Victorian silver key wind pair case pocket watch, the white dial with black Roman numerals, bordered by a minute track, plain round case, hallmarked Birmingham 1840, fitted with a gilt full plate fusee and chain movement with verge escapement, pierced balance cock, signed W. Boston of London. Outer case diameter 58mm. Watch A/F.

A Victorian pocket watch, movement is not functioning, fusee chain has broken, dial has tiny marks and light scratches, chips at the centre, minute track beginning to show signs of wear, hands are marked and discoloured, glass is scratched and scuffed, some may polish out with difficulty, deeper marks may remain, case has medium scratches and areas of pitting, areas of discolouration, signs of rubbing, crown shows signs of rubbing, outer case has medium scratches and numerous dents, discolouration, small score mark at edge, probably caused when it was opened.
