An early 20th century gold sapphire and split pearl dragonfly bar brooch. The circular-shape sapphire body, with seed pearl head and wings, to the plain bar surmount. Length 6.4cms. Weight 4.3gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface wear in keeping with age and wear. There is some tarnishing to the tail of the dragonfly, possibly due to previous acid testing. Sapphire medium to pale blue. Fairly good clarity with typical inclusions. Sapphire in good condition with minor abrasion and nibbles to the facet edges. Seed pearls vary slightly in hue. Seed pearls creamy colour with rose and bluish overtones. Fair skins with blemishes and some surface abrasion. Fair lustre.
