Lot Description

An early 20th century 9ct gold turquoise, split pearl and diamond pendant. The  three turquoise bombe panels with with central diamond highlight, to the split pearl flower, suspended from a fancy-link chain with turquoise cluster spacers, may be worn as a brooch. Length of pendant 3cms. Length of chain 41cms. Total weight 13.7gms.

The lot is in good overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. Adapted using modern elements. The chain is stamped 9ct. The pendant is unhallmarked. The turquoise are moderately well matched, with very minor dark matrix and discolouration. Some of the turquoise to the pendant are chipped, possibly replacements. The cultured pearls are mostly well matched, with a creamy yellow body colour and good lustre, one to the surmount is an odd shape, possibly a replacement. The pendant has a brooch fitting. Base metal loop to clasp.
