Lot Description

An early 20th century 12ct gold amethyst and diamond brooch. Designed as a heart-shape amethyst clover, with old-cut diamond centre, to the plain bar. Length 7.5cms. Weight 7.8gms.

Condition Report

Overall condition good. Minor surface wear and light scratches in keeping with age. Amethysts medium purple, vary very slightly in hue. Fairly good clarity with typical inclusions. Amethysts in good condition some abrasion, small nibbles and rounded facet edges. Please see Important Notices for Purchasers in our catalogue for coloured gemstones. Diamond fairly bright. Estimated diamond weight 0.10ct. Individual size prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment. Diamond in fair condition with some abrasion to the facet edges. Brooch fitting in good working order. Unhallmarked.
