Lot Description

Two buckles and three silver mounts, to include an early 20th century silver twist-lock buckle, a circular Victorian paste buckle and three silver 'T' shaped mounts with blue fabric backing. One with hallmarks for Sheffield, 1910, two with hallmarks for London, 1935. One stamped silver. Lengths 7.5 to 4.9cms. Total weight 82gms.

Overall condition fair to good. There are scratches and areas of discolouration to the early 20th century buckle, the central twist lock function is in good condition. Weight 38.3gms. This is stamped Patent No. 8883. The frame to the paste buckle has tarnished black. There is a chip conchoidal fracture to one of the paste and smaller chips and abrasion to some. Some of the paste are loose within the settings and would need to be secured. The central buckle fitting is a little bent. To the silver mounts there are slight scratches and areas of discolouration to the silver in keeping with overall wear. The hallmarks and makers stamps are clear to the two pieces, with the makers mark T&Co, One is stamped Foye.
