Lot Description

An Edwardian cased silver and turquoise buckle, designed as a scrolling bow with turquoise floral accent, together with a Swedish Celtic design blue enamel buckle. Cased buckle with hallmarks for London, 1908. Lengths 8.7 to 6.8cms. Weight of two buckles 75.5gms.

The lot is in good overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The cased buckle has a makers mark for Samuel Jacob. The Swedish buckle is stamped 925, with the national mark, the Silver mark and makers mark BH. The enamel is chipped to both sides with moderate abrasion. The turquoise show slight discolouration. The case does not close tightly, scuffs and a small tear to the box.
