Lot Description

A 1930's silver hot water pot of baluster form with footed base, hallmarked William Suckling Ltd., Birmingham 1938;  together with a slightly earlier silver pepper pot, hallmarked Elkington & Co Ltd., Birmingham 1914, and a bulbous shape cream jug, hallmarked Mappin & Webb, London 1960. Gross combined weight 19.36 ozt (602 grams).

All three pieces are quite tarnished all over with various darker patches and spots of tarnishing to some areas.  General surface wear, marks and scratches.  Some deeper, more visible scratches to some areas and various minor nicks.  Hot water pot has various surface dints, especially one notable one just above the girdle and several below.  Knock to foot rim and finial to hinged lid is loose.  Pepper pot has a large dint to one side of main body.  Wear and distortion to flange on lid and remnants of polish in holes.  Slight knock to foot rim on cream jug.  Slight distortion to hallmarks in places but all still legible.
