Lot Description
A late Victorian silver and glass ink stand, the pressed hobnail glass inkwell with silver rim and hinged silver lid, to the circular claw and ball footed stand with gadrooned rim. Hallmarked Horace Woodward & Co Ltd, London 1895. Diameter of stand 7 inches (17.8cm). Weight of stand 8.92 ozt (277.4 grams).

Condition Report
The ink stand displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Nicks to the base of the glass. The lid hinge pin is missing, hinge slightly bent. Hallmarks worn to stand, still legible. Height of inkwell 3 3/4 inches (9.5cm).
