Mother of pearl and rose tone box.

Lot Description
A mother of pearl and rose tone mounted small box, possibly a needle case, octagonal sided and decorated to each mother of pearl panel with floral and foliate motifs, the top with central vacant shield and the underside also with vacant shield amidst floral decoration, each panel with a conforming punched border. Length of box measures 4.3 cm.

Condition Report
The box displays general surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use. Some deeper scratches visible to some areas of the mother of pearl and and there are some minor edge chips. Some minor dints to the metal mounts. Hinge and clasp are still in working order. Material lining to the interior of the lid is torn and faded. No visible hallmarks to metal mounts.
