Lot Description

A late 19th century 18ct gold rock crystal and ruby pendant. The circular rock crystal cabochon, within a rectangular-shape ruby and rock crystal bead double surround, suspended from a graduated rectangular-shape ruby surmount. Diameter 4.5cms.

The lot is in good overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. Slight discolouration to the gilt finish. The principal rock crystal is missing the back fitting to secure an object behind. Please see important notices for purchasers in the catalogue for Coloured Gemstones. The rubies are moderately well matched with a pinkish red hue and variances in tone. Minor abrasions. The rock crystal bead surround shows the original crystallised glue through the gems. Length including bale 5.5cms.
