Lot Description

A late 19th century 9ct gold amethyst and seed pearl brooch. The oval-shape amethyst, within a split pearl scalloped and palmette surround, to the split pearl surmount. Length 4.6cms. Weight 10.3gms.

The lot is in good overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. Stamped 9ct. Please see important notices for purchasers in the catalogue for Coloured Gemstones. The amethyst has minor nicks and moderate abrasion, slightly greyish purple hue. The split pearls are slightly discoloured.
