Lot Description

A Victorian 18ct gold key wind open face centre seconds pocket watch, the white enamel dial with hourly applied Roman numerals, bordered by a minute track with quarterly Arabic divisions, hallmarked possibly Chester 1874, vacant cartouche to the rear, fitted with a three quarter plate movement signed J. Hargreaves & Co. with a ratchet tooth lever escapement. Case diameter 54mm. Total weight 125gms.

An 18ct gold pocket watch, key wind movement is currently functioning, movement shows scratches and discolouration, dial appears to be in a fair condition, there are light scratches noticeable however there is slight discolouration and debris visible, hands are discoloured and marked from use, seconds hand appears slightly bent out of shape, glass is scratched and marked from use, it has some small scuffs in various places, very superficial, case shows scratches to the whole surface as a result of general wear, majority should polish out, bow and pendant are scratched, screw to hold bow in place appears to be a later addition as it is larger than bow.
