Lot Description

An early 20th century gold mourning ring, the central engraved buckle, to the woven hair band. Inner personal inscription reads 'R.P Dec 24th 1901. Weight 1.6gms.

Overall condition fair to poor. There are scratches to the ring in keeping with overall wear. There are areas of discolouration and a couple of dents to the inner band. The inner engraved inscription is clear. There is a possible join mark near the buckle and an area of purple discolouration caused by heat to the front detail. The woven hair panels are significantly worn in places. The inner hallmark has worn away and only the date letter is legible. Ring size O.
