Lot Description

A late 19th century 9ct gold enamel mourning brooch, the oval-shape arranged hair panel within a black enamel scrolling surround. Length 4.8cms. Weight 18.9gms.

Overall condition fair. There are scratches to the brooch in keeping with the age of the piece. There are specles of green dust/dirt beneath to the hair panel, the arranged hair is in good condition. There are some scratches to the glass cover. There are chips and areas of abrasion to some of the black enamel panels. The back pin is metal and has probably been replaced.
