A late Victorian tortoiseshell pique brooch, together with a moonstone fringe necklace. Length of brooch 4.5cms. Length of necklace 35cms.

Condition Report
Overall condition fair. There are scratches to the tortoiseshell in keeping with the age of the brooch. There is a chip to the back rim and areas of wear. There is a mottled appearance to the top of the brooch where the tortoiseshell has dryed out and lustre has faded. There are scratches and areas of discolouration to the inlaid detail in places. The back pin and catch is secure, the back pin has possibly been replaced. The necklace is in fair condition, some of the belcher-links are possible bent off shape. The clasp is secure. One moonstone is significantly chipped and there are scratches visible to others. The settings may need to be secured.
