Lot Description

Two WW1 trench art hinged bangles made from shell casing, the first designed as a black enamel cross, to the bifurcated foliate front, the second designed as a plain front, to the plain half bangle. Inner diameters 6 and 5.3cms.

Overall condition good. Minor surface wear in keeping with age. The safety chain to one bangle is deficient. Inner engraving reads; ' Weltkrieg 1914/16' and 'La-ville-aux-bois Mary? 1915'
