MEYLE AND MAYER - an early 20th century German silver enamel seagull brooch, designed as a seagull in flight, with opalescent enamel body and wings. Enamel AF. Maker's mark for Meyle and Mayer. Length 6.9cms. Weight 5.7gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition fair to poor. There are numerous chips to the enamel wings and tail, that are easily visible as well as one central to the body. The back of the brooch was also originally fully enamelled, large sections have worn away and only small sections of enamel are remaining. The makers stamp is clear. Stamped Sterling Depose. The back pin is not original and has been replaced.
