Lot Description

A set of six early 20th century 18ct gold mother-of-pearl buttons, each designed as a circular-shape mother-of-pearl plaque with cross thread detail. Stamped 18. With fitted case.

Overall condition good. There are slight scratches to all buttons in keeping with their age. The mother of of pearl is in good condition. Diameter of buttons 1.35cms. Total weight excluding attachment coiled fittings 16gms, each weighing 2.7gms. The coiled links are in good condition. There are scuffs and scratches to the box, the inner velvet is worn in places, the leather to the edging of the case is specifically worn, the box is stamped 'By appointment of the queen, The goldsmiths and silversmiths company Ltd, 112 Regent St, London.
