Lot 76

Lot Description

A Royal Worcester porcelain vase decorated by James Stinton of twin-handled ovoid form, the domed cover with bulbous finial, the body with acanthus moulding above a painted scene depicting pheasants in a misty wooded landscape, signed 'Jas Stinton' lower right, a floral spray verso, green printed marks with shape 998 and date code for 1901 beneath, 12.5" (32cm) high. (af)

Postage: Auction Default

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

Rubbing to gilt, small scratch to centre of floral spray, otherwise very good. Cover is ill-fitting and slightly lighter in colour than body and does not have beading like rim of body, but the acanthus moulding is similar. Possibility therefore that cover could be associated.
