Lot Description

A William IV early Victorian mahogany bracket clock by Walker of London, circa 1840. Having a 9" (23cm) cream painted Roman dial inscribed 'Walker London' with spade hour hand, the chain driven single fusee timepiece movement with rectangular backplate numbered 7285, the case with moulded cornice over figured door and stepped base on block feet. 16.5" (42cm) high

Dial - repainted and re-blackened some time ago.

Movement - unsigned. Hole to upper left side of back plate probably for a hammer.

Case - re-glued, loss to front left corner of cornice, cracking, wrinkling to veneer but otherwise sound.
