Lot Description

A late 19th century gold amethyst and seed pearl brooch. The lozenge-shape amethyst, within a seed pearl surround, to the foliate embossed border. Length 2.9cms. Weight 7.2gms.

Condition Report

Overall condition good. Surface scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. Amethyst light purple with colour zoning and surface abrasions. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers in our catalogue for coloured gemstones. Seed pearls possible replacements. Seed pearls with surface abrasions, one seed pearl cracked. Discolouration to embossed surround due to possible repair work.
