A silver capstan inkwell, of plain form, the circular base tapering to the hinged lid. Hallmarked Birmingham 1921 or 1946. Diameter 5 5/8 inches (14.3cm). Wooden and filled base.

Condition Report
The lot is in fair overall condition with light scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The lid has long, more obvious dents and does not close tightly. The inkwell is missing the glass or ceramic liner. There are heavy pinhole dents to the main body. The wooden base is slightly warped. Hallmarks with mdoerate wear and makers mark extremely worn.
