Lot Description

A nineteenth century silver plated soup tureen by Elkington, Mason & Co of oval form with beaded rims, acanthus mounted reeded handles, crested lid, and raised above an oval stepped foot. Numbered 7486. Length including handles measuring 15 1/2 inches (39.5 cm).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Wear to the silver plated to the inside base of the bowl. Minor dints and bumps. Crest appears crisp and a later addition.
