Lot Description

An early twentieth century silver cigarette case with silver-gilt interior, the front case enamelled with a scene of a reclining female and gentleman, signed to the bottom right hand side Kreenes, further monogram mark to the left hand corner. Hallmarked Richard Gross London 1912. Width measuring 3 1/2 inches (9 cm), weight 5.2 ozt (163 grams).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.

A significant chip to the enamel on the right hand corner. Discolouration to the silver-gilt interior. Some heavier scratches and minor dints visible. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
