Total lot weight: No

Both salts display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.  Some deeper scratches visible to some areas, especially the gilded interiors.  There are also various nicks and pitting marks.   Both display some surface dints to the main body and the Victorian example also has a slight knock to the foot rim.  On this salt there is also a slight impression of the foot visible to the interior.  Some loss of detail to the engraved crests.  The gilding is brighter on the Georgian salt.  This salt also weighs slightly heavier.
