All three pieces display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.  Knock to foot rim of the Victorian pepper and also remnants of polish visible to some areas.  The lid is a very tight fit and the flange is quite dinted and knocked with a couple of small cracks appearing.  The hallmarks to main body and part hallmarks to lid are clear and legible.  The Edwardian pepper displays some small surface dints to the main body, visible on the plain panels and around the rim.  Also remnants of polish to some areas.  Lid screws on tightly.  The hallmarks to the underside are clear and legible, maker's mark slightly rubbed.  Silver mount on glass bottle is quite tarnished and there are some small surface dints.  Hinged lid in working order. Some slight rubbing but hallmarks are legible.  Various minor nicks and rim and edge chips to glass and stopper.
