Lot Description

A 19th century French porcelain cachepot or jardiniere. Rihouet, Rue de la Paix, Paris, of tapering pail form with gilt lion mask handles, the body profusely decorated with floral sprays between banded friezes, signed beneath "Rihouet", 6" internal diameter x 6.5" high, (15cm x 16.5cm).
Rihouet was appointed 'Faience Maker to the King' in 1824.
