Lot Description

A 19th century brass twin fusee 'lantern' style clock. Having a 6.5" Roman dial with inner quarter hour track froming engraved foliate scrollwork over name "John Maynard Long Milford", the chain-driven twin fusee movement striking on a strapped bell surmount, the brass case with typical pierced crestings, side doors and turned feet, 15", (38cm) high, (AF)

Dial - now with two hands and the centre is pierced with twin winding squares. Hands are currently stuck.

Movement - C19th twin fusee movement, would suggest needs clean/overhaul.

Case - significant corrosion/tarnishing (needs thorough clean), rear door stuck, one corner finial bent, no pendulum/winder.
Overall - requires full renovation/restoration.
