A late Victorian silver pierced basket, of navette form, depicting Cupid and Psyche picking fruit, to the scrolling foliate sides with vacant dual cartouche. Hallmarked Samuel Boyce Landeck, Sheffield 1899. Length 11 3/4 inches (31.8 cm). Weight 11.27 ozt (350.6 grams).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Hallmarks in good condition. Foreign marks slightly worn, including 930 stamp. There is a small repair to base, slight flooding of solder, small area of pitting. Possible repair to scrolling section. Significant wear to gilt interior.
