Lot Description

Victorian silver import wine taster, the circular base embossed with a scene of a lady and gentleman to the shaped raised edge, florally embossed and twin scrolling handles. Hallmarked Martin Sugar London foreign mark, 1892, alongside further continental marks. Diameter of bowl measuring 2 3/4 inches (7.5 cm), weight 2 ozt (62 grams).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Old polish to the recesses. The hallmarks are clear and legible, continental marks worn, possibly includes the stamp 930.
