Lot Description
A late Victorian silver candlestick with Neoclassical decoration, the square base with canted corners and beaded rims embossed with urns to the tapered stem mounted with ram masks and urn formed nozzle with ribbon swags, filled. Hallmarked Charles Boyton (II) London 1896. Height measuring 10 inches (25.5 cm).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Filling and underside of base missing, filling visible to the stem. Dents to the corners of the base, one in particular also causing a small tear. The raised decoration has rubbed with some loss of definition and details. Heavy remnants of wax to the socket and detachable nozzle. The hallmarks appear rubbed but legible.
