Lot Description

A mid 19th century gold coral cameo brooch. The coral carved to depict Hera, within a scrolling cannetille surround. Length 4cms. Weight 7gms.

Condition Report

Overall condition good. The coral is well carved and has not incurred any chips or significant abrasion. Coral untested for natural colour origin. The coral is a slightly mottled deep orange hue. The mount is in fairly good condition, the suspension loop has broken off and the pin is a base metal replacement.
