Lot Description

A Victorian silver key wind open face pocket watch, the white dial with black Roman numerals signed J.W Benson London, bordered by a minute track, subsidiary seconds dial positioned to six o'clock, round case with engine turned detail and vacant cartouche to rear, hallmarked London 1885, signed three quarter plate movement with ratchet tooth lever escapement. Case diameter 49mm.

Silver pocket watch, key wind movement is currently functioning, hand setting function is disabled as post has sheared off, marking to the dial in particular to the subsidiary dial, light cracks to the dial between one and two and five and six o'clock, hands are scratched and marked, glass is heavily scratched, case has medium scratches and tiny dints, wear to the engine turned decoration to the rear and to the milled band, medium scratches and tiny dints to the pendant and bow.
