Lot Description

A Victorian silver key wind open face pocket watch, the silvered dial with decorated centre, hourly applied Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial to six o'clock, bordered by a minute track, round case with milled band, rubbed engine turned decoration and vacant cartouche to the rear, hallmarked London 1873, fitted with a full plate fusee and chain movement signed A.Breckenrudge, Kilmarnock with ratchet tooth lever escapement. Case diameter 50mm.

Silver key wind open face pocket watch, movement is currently functioning however balance is wobbling which may require attention in the future and curb pins are not long enough to hold the hairspring in place, dial is heavily discoloured and showing scratches and marks throughout, hands are scratched and showing evidence of rust and discolouration, glass is a replacement perspex which is discoloured and scratched, case has medium scratches, case back is scratched and design is worn, bow and pendant are scratched.
