Lot Description

A late 19th century seed pearl and diamond brooch, circa 1880. The split pearl and rose-cut diamond cluster, within a split pearl and blue enamel swirling surround. Length 2.5cms. Weight 7.5gms.

Overall condition good. Minor surface wear in keeping with general wear. Diamond bright. Settings will need attention, to check security. Split pearls are fairly well matched. Some possibly replacements. Obvious damage to enamel in some areas. General nibbles and chips to enamel, in keeping with age. Ornate woven hair panel to reverse. The brooch pin and hinge are missing. Soft solder repair marks to reverse.
