Lot Description

A selection of coral jewellery, to include a late 19th century coral cross pendant, suspended from an associated faceted coral bead and filigree chain, a coral cluster brooch and a coral and turquoise brooch. Coral untested for natural colour origin. One coral piece deficient. Length of cross pendant 6.3cms.

Overall condition fair. The brooch is tarnished black, one coral is deficient. The coral to the other brooch are worn and damahed in places, the central turquoise has a central crack. There is significant wear to the detail. There are scratches to the cross pendant, the terminal is a possible replacement. There are surface reaching internal fractures to the coral in places. The faceted coral beads are worn in places, there is discolouration to the filigree detail. Some items are in need of repair.
