Lot Description

An oak-cased bracket clock by Winterhalder & Hoffmeier. The 6.75-inch square brass dial having a silvered chapter ring with Roman hours, Arabic minutes and cruciform half hour divisions framing a matted centre with retailer's plaque "PEARCE & SONS LEEDS", within cherub spandrels, the two-train spring-driven 'ting-tang' double coiled gong-striking movement stamped "W&H Sch", the architectural case with pointed pediment over brickwork friezes flanking fluted pilasters on a moulded base, 16.25", (41cm) high.
